Regional Meet 2015

Lake View’s cross-country team traveled back to Lubbock to compete at the Regional Cross-Country meet.  Although none of the Chiefs or Maidens advanced as a state qualifier, they still did very well and made their coaches and school proud. District Makes Chiefs and Maidens Regional Bound

Lake View’s Chiefs and Maidens cross-country teams traveled to Lubbock to compete at their district meet.  Senior Alyssa Samaniego placed 8th, finishing with a time of 21:49, and also advancing to the regional cross-country meet. Through Rain and Mud: Odessa Invitational

Lake View’s Cross-Country teams traveled to Odessa yesterday to compete in their final meet before district.  Even through flash-flood watches and deep mud, the Chiefs and Maidens finished with medals and several PRs (personal records).  Senior Alyssa Samaniego finished 23rd out of 159, walked away with a medal, and ran a PR of a 20:20.  Junior

Battle at Ballinger

Lake View’s cross country teams made a short drive to Ballinger to compete at the Ballinger Invitational.  Even with 4 athletes out with injuries, the Chiefs and Maidens worked hard to break personal records and win medals.  The girls ran a 2-mile course, but they cut over two minutes off their team time.  The boys

Lake View’s cross country teams traveled to Lubbock once again in order to prepare for the district course.  The varsity girls’ team cut 5 whole minutes off their times and the varsity boys’ team cut 6 minutes off their times. Lake View’s cross country teams made a short trip to Angelo State University for their ASU Stampede meet this morning on September 12.  Both teams competed very well, walking away with 6 medals and a plaque. Over-Night Trip To Midlothian

Lake View’s varsity cross-country teams traveled to the James Smith Invitational in Midlothian, Texas on September 10. The teams left school on Wednesday to stay overnight at Camp Hoblitzelle and returned Thursday evening. Lake View did not walk away with any medals, but their top runners improved their times from last week’s meet in Lubbock.
