The Freshmen blue football team took on the Plainview Bulldogs tonight for their third contest in district play. During the first half, the Chief offense was able to put the ball in the end zone twice and the defense was able to pitch a shut out, which resulted in a 14-0 halftime lead. In the third quarter, however, the chief defense failed to secure tackles, which allowed for the Plainview running backs to scurry to the end zone practically untouched. Late in the fourth quarter the game was tied and the chief offense went for the first down on fourth and twelve, but were stopped two yards short. The chief defense had their backs against the wall with the game on the line, but were able to buckle down and stop the Plainview attack. The game ended as a tie 14-14.
